What do Gurus do in Los Angeles?

2/25/2010

Namaste --
What do Guru's do in Los Angeles ? Enjoy the energy - the smoke and mirrors of tinsel town..
Yes that's right.. You heard correctly.. While there it's time to enjoy fashion - sun - and just
going with the ambiance of what's there...
Hanging out at Urth Cafe - sipping a cup of latte and soaking up the sun while people
watching (never a dull moment). HAHAHAHAHAHA
The days off were spent mostly in Long Beach walking along the water front.. Just
hanging out in quietude with the beauty of the harbor.. Water - Palm Trees - Blue
Skies and Sunshine... So nice.. The vehicle works so much better when it actually get's
what is needed from the sun..
What bliss to have a little place on the water..
We also spoke together on some books that would be beneficial to write.. Perhaps
one day we will be in a place where that can be done...
OM Shanti

Gurus - are they Really looking for Sadhakas to control?

What is more pleasant to Guru's ?
Do you think it is having to cut through Sadhaka's
drama or enjoying the simplicity of quietude ? Do
you understand why it is termed Tapas ? Austerity ?
It's not easy nor pleasant to take on Sadhakas as
Sadhakas are wrapped up in ego and always looking
to benefit it. While they may say with the mouth that
they are seeking to go beyond it to Realization in
the end 99 % are simply not understanding what
Realization IS and is not… They are under the
delusion that it is something that ego is going to
get and then become more special due to it's having
acquired this new boon. Realization is not something
owned by an ego.. People think that going beyond
ego means being less egotistical -compassionate -
and peaceful.
Ego means being under the delusion of being a persona
that is driven by desires and fears. Taking the motion
of mind and it's content to be your world. Looking through
the lens of past experience and projecting onto the latest
happening or putting some fantasy hope out there rather
than seeing what is there as it is.....
That one is something separate from everyone else
and looking to make a bigger better world that is going
to solve their problems… It may have an idea about
we are all one and connected (oneness) but in the end
we are still separate and unique beings…
Realization has no such unique being -- that projection
has ended… Self is not a persona that is One… It has
nothing to do with moving minds content as that has
fallen away into IS and remains quite Still in Pure Awareness..
Oneness is the motion that looks towards Stillness…
Really there is nothing that Guru's care to say -- speech
is simply due to the fact that Sadhaka's expect it and look
for it… Gurus would rather be within Silence as it is simply
much richer than the revolving door of worldly content… Speaking
only gives more fodder for minds to chew on --- while the practices
are aiming to cut through the mind play rather than sustaining it
or making it go in a better direction that sounds or looks better and
that gives ego a better defined identification within the world…
Even Satsang becomes clouded with speech as Pure Satsang
may only come from Silence… Words are the property of duality
and mental creations by those caught within it's web of knowledge
versus Living the Unknowing IS…
So do Guru's seek to collect Sadhakas ? Do they want to run
their lives ? Do they want to be the center of seekers attentions ?
The answer to these questions is a resounding NO…. Compassion
moves Guru's to extend an open hand to those who are truly seeking…
But Guru's do not care to be put on display --- nor to have to micro manage
peoples lives nor to chase after seekers that have decided that they
want to pursue their idea of spirituality versus going forward to genuine
Realization and Enlightenment… Neither do they wish to become
*** friends *** and buddies to students that are on the path now ---
or with those who choose to leave the path to go on their way… Peoples
dramas are not of interest as duality has been left behind like an
ephemeral dream that is no more… The eyes see duality but there
is no mind nor persona that is wallowing in it nor looking to be
entertained by it…. In NonDuality there is simply the Ever Present
IS that is beyond dispute and no mask of duality may ever hide it
again… The content of duality is forever empty in nature -- a momentary
show on the Screen of Reality…
Guru's are forever Alone and yet never lonely.. Solitude is enjoyed
as it has more fullness than the degraded world of content that is
more distraction oriented… One is submersed and submerged in
that which is Prior to and remains Forever after the rise and fall of
the transient shows…. The Transient Show is ENJOYED in the
Quietude and Solitude of Being.
OM Shanti
