Diksha

[if needed, a glossary of terms]

Namaste -

In taking Diksha one receives a direct inner opening and link to the Guru ..... the Guru helps to mitigate your karma..

diksha: (Sanskrit) "Initiation." Solemn induction by which one is entered into a new realm of awareness and practice by a teacher or preceptor through the bestowing of blessings and the transmission of pranas. Denotes initial or deepened connection with the teacher and his lineage and is usually accompanied by ceremony. Initiation, revered as a moment of awakening, may be conferred by a touch, a word, a look or a thought.

Most Hindu schools, and especially Saivism, teach that only with initiation from a satguru is enlightenment attainable. Sought after by all Hindus is the diksha called shaktipata, "descent of grace," which, often coming unbidden, stirs and arouses the mystic kundalini force.

Shakti-pat Diksha, Guru Diksha, Name Diksha, and Mantra Diksha are given .......

When seekers come and want Diksha then it is looked at whether or not they are going to be a good Sadhaka....  What does this mean?

1. Are the practices being done or not consistently?

2. Has there been consistency in reporting and remaining in contact?

3. Have pointings been taken to Heart and acted upon ?

4. Are the practices being done AS given in balance ?

When one comes for Diksha one comes with nothing --- It has to be recoginsed first that you Don't know and then accepted that the Guru's have the key.... Potential Sadhakas come seeking the Guidance -  Blessings -- and good Graces of the Guru....  They are seeking to become a Student to be taken under the wing and be willing to follow through on what is given, as it is there only to be beneficial to your journey....

In order to receive Diksha one MUST be committed to the spiritual path .....

NOTICE - IF ONE COMES WITH THE INTENTION OF TAKING DIKSHA TO SECURE MANTRAS AND THEN TO BE ON THEIR WAY ON THEIR OWN - YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME AS ONCE YOU WALK AWAY FROM THE GURU CONNECTION THE MANTRAS INFUSED POWER WILL BE AT AN END. TO KEEP MANTRAS EMPOWERED ONE HAS TO KEEP ALL COMMITMENTS MADE AT THE TIME OF DIKSHA.

Requirements Are

1. Keeping the Vows and Intention of Diksha

2. Meditation Everyday

3. Mantra Japa

4. Developing Vairagya

5. No Drugs Allowed

6. Bhakti Yoga

7. Karma Yoga

8. Jnana Yoga

9. Moderating Diet as needed

10. Keeping the integrity of your Spiritual Name

11. Honesty

12. Integrity

13. Transparency

14. Keep in touch with the Guru at least twice a week with progress report ....

15. Live a life of Chastity (celibate if not married -- honor the partner if married)

16. Take Darshan in person at least once a year if at ALL possible......

There is no *Charge* for receiving Diksha but it is customary to bring a gift - also flowers - fruit & the giving of Dakshina which is a heartfelt monetary gift given to the Guru as a token of appreciation for their spiritual blessings ........this is based upon your ability to give but should be generous in nature as the Guru is generous in your behalf ........

After receiving Diksha one may wear white clothing if desired.....This shows that you are committed to a spiritual path but have not as yet taken full Sannyass...... it means you are a committed sadhaka or devotee ..... the wearing of such outer color simply reminds you of your commitment..... it sets the tone of your mindset .......

i urge those ready to take Diksha as it helps clear the way of obstacles and gives a direct connection to Guru - God - Cosmic Consciousness ..........

Diksha comes in two parts. Part One is called the COS: Contemplation of Self. Once must meet the above requirements, have done Practices with regular reports for at least 30 days, and submitted the Diksha Informed Consent form to Gurus and Sages. If approved, you will recieve the COS: Contemplation of Self that consists of mantras for This Path.

Once one has Practiced the COS well for a while, one may request the second part of Diksha which is an in-person event accompanied by a second series called the Morning Mantras. During the second Diksha event, one will receive their new spiritual name for This Path.

O

BEFORE REQUESTING DIKSHA REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET...

1.  Minimum 1 moth of starting practices

2.  Consistency in posting (at least once a week, bests that it is more)

3.  Must have read  Kundalini from Hell to Heaven by SwamiGuruG

4..  Must have read and Understood ---  A Dangerous Friend

5.   Must Understand the focus of this path in regards to Celibacy -  Honesty --- Integrity and Transparency

6.   Must sign the document that states you Understand the Kundalini will be awakened if it already is not and that you Accept full responsibility for that action...

7.   You understand that this path is for Life ---

8.   If you leave this path once having taken Diksha you are NOT Allowed to continue using the Diksha practices or mantras....

9.     If you leave this path once there is a bond with Guru - ALL the Karma that has been Transmuted by Guru will return to you...  AND you will face the karmic consequences of reneging on the commitments made...

10.   Any taking Diksha SHOULD be sending in Monthly Donations as a way of honoring what is being given by Guru and as a way to aide in  keeping a Community in place...  Every spiritual tradition has this admonition of paying tithes - most say 10 % of your salary but here there is simply the admonition to give what you can...  Look at what you have and then make a commitment as to what is appropriate... This aides in not taking things for granted and for keeping the flow in place....

11.   Those taking Diksha should be posting and checking in minimumtwice a week ...

12..   Practices given MUST be kept Sacred and used in the Authorized manner...

GO DOWN THE CHECK LIST AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN FOLLOW THROUGH ON THESE THINGS BEFORE REQUESTING DIKSHA...   DON'T JUMP INTO THIS PATH BEFORE YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT YOU ARE READY TO WALK THE PATH ALL THE WAY TO REALIZATION...  AFTER REALIZATION THEN THERE IS THE SEVA TO HUMANITY IN ORDER TO AIDE THE JOURNEY OF THOSE RADY TO MOVE FORWARD OUT OF EGO'S SUFFERING.... .

THIS IS AN INFORMED CONSENT PAGE THAT MUST BE READY FULLY AND SIGNED BEFORE DIKSHA IS ENTERED INTO:

1.  Kundalini once activated cannot be summarily closed down.

2.  This is a path to Dissolve Ego into Ground of Being and is not a self help dynamic to create a bigger better ego...

3.  Ones progress is based on a number of dynamics

     1. past karma

     2. Surrender in the midst of living practices

     3. giving 100 % attention to giving ones best at all times to moving forward.

4.   There can be no Stated nor Implied guarantee that you will gain Realization in this lifetime...   Many do but some may not...

5.   One must promise to keep the Mantras and Practices SACRED which means they may not be spoken aloud in the presence of any not initiated into these mantras...

6.   Kundalini once opened often brings with it major shifts in ones daily life such as

      a.  Spontaneous Kriyas  (these take place on their own and are  not being done under ones own volition)

      b.  Spontaneous Mudras  (hand gestures that may arise )

     c.   Spontaneous Mantras or Sounds  (this can and does take place for some)

     d.   Pressures and pains in form  ----  As things are connecting and releasing these may be felt in the body

     e.   Lights in vision may be seen

     f.    One may have changes in feeling larger or smaller

     g.   As mind comes more into the moment one may feel as if one is losing memory.

     h.   As mind Stills one may feel that they may not be able think...

     i.    there are many types of phenomena that may arise along the way...

one must accept this coming in...  Visual - auditory - sensory etc.

7.  This is not a path of learning to control and master the universe ---

This is a path of Trusting God and Surrendering into the moment.

Ego wants to control and in this maintain it's separation...  One must

be willing to Surrender into Living as life presents it's self....

Finally, I have read and understand all the above --- Am entering into this path of my own free will --- Holding no one accountable for my path other than myself....  It is understood that the Guru's and Sages will give all that is possible to give Yet they are not responsible for my progress nor lack thereof.....

I accept and realize that this path is full of rigors and takes fortitude and 100 % dedication to traverse..

I have been informed of the ramifications of this path and enter into it willingly....

I hold none responsible for whatever happens as practices are entered and the consciousness is traversed.

Why would a Sadhaka be sent away?

by GuruSwamiG

[if needed, a glossary of terms]

Seekers have no idea why Guru's do what they do ----

Seekers see through flawed eyes and only from the small picture...

Why would a Sadhaka (Student) be sent away ?

For one, when insolence and disrespect for the Guru raises it's head the Sadhaka only is digging a hole for himself ...

Each infraction and marked display of disrespect only works to dissolve the Grace which Guru has imparted.... When the Sadhaka has used up all the Grace from Transmissions then no matter how much greener the grass may seem elsewhere Nothing that Sadhaka does will afford him any progress....

How can you Disrespect the Direct Truth and then have any illusions that the Universe is going to continue to Bless you.... You are rather constructing a difficult karmic path which you won't want to walk....

THEREFORE this Guru in Grace and Compassion will cut you off from the Ashram BEFORE you fully Bankrupt the Grace that has been imparted.... Before you have dug a hole that will require Lifetimes of hardship before being given another opportunity for forward motion....

This is the Grace and Compassion of Guru ----

Why would a depressed person be sent away ? Why isn't he being surrounded and loved into being healed ?

When Instructions to do the Balanced Breath (which has still not come into full alignment) and to do the Gratitude Journal (the best practice to open the Heart and begin to pull one out of the depressed attitude) are not done . . .

This instruction is to go and be willing to Live Life for a time.... When in more balance then one may re-apply....

This is GRACE --- AS NOW one has to Rely on those practices rather than having attention that is only ingraining depressing attitudes...

So again it is GRACE and Compassion to give what is Needed versus what is wanted.... The ongoing posts that only focus on negative drama does nothing to pull one free but only serves to entrench that mentality ... .

Compassion gives the Gratitude Journal and Balanced Breath and a prescription to go out and Live and breathe in Life rather than wallowing in one's stagnation .... This is the best Grace and Compassion for the Situation ... When there isn't a forum to aire the littany of dark projections of stagnation (which only serves to keep them going in the endless hamster wheel) then all one has left to rely on are the very practices which may turn the situation around... One must rely on and breathe in the practices for them to work --- it's not about getting warm fuzzy's to keep the emotional ego momentarily feeling better ...

So while you sit and want to make judgments as to why the Guru seems harsh ------ you Unfortunately are not looking or seeing with Clarity the larger picture.... You are rather focusing on the emotions of the moment....

Guru is not a persona with personal interests... A Guru acts and reacts with Energies .... Guru's have one function to bring Light into darkness... To be a Catalyst for one's journey.... To break down and through the walls of ignorance...

The Guru gives Seva through Tapashya --- Rather than living Fully in Bliss this is put aside to give the Love needed to break through the ill-usions.. .

Rather than giving Sermons and lovely speeches that one may either attempt to adopt or lay aside and which will pump up the ego convincing it that it is a divine co-creator and pulls the sadhaka only as far as oneness ---- This Guru wants to see the Sadhaka's enter into the full Freedom of Realization. ... Trust this it is much easier to give lovely speeches and stirring affirmations that keep egos feeling cozy and loved but it is Tough Love that is willing to bear the judgements and mistaken notions by sadhaka's in order to move them beyond oneness and lower samadhi bliss....

So judge if you will ---- but be careful you don't dig a hole you cannot get out of for lifetimes... . Keep your tongue and either go forward in glad humility or leave quietly and seek what it is you think you need that you aren't finding here....

Do not judge less you be judged....

-----What does it mean that Guru can save you from God but none can save you from the Guru ????

It means that Guru gives the light and Grace which may turn your life around and mitigate much karma that you would have had to pay.... Guru brings a Transmission of GRACE...

When the Guru washes their hands of you then none may help you....

How To Leave This Path With Guru's Grace and Blessing

Taking Diksha ---

Diksha is a commitment to This Path for Life...

This isn't a well let me try it and see...

This isn't a stay until things seem to be in the moment

get the practices and then i can do it all on my own...

CAUTION AND WARNING AHEAD:

There is a point in the path when things go into the Moment and into Flow... in other words Grace is in full swing...  The seeker is getting into Bliss states and All seems right with the world...   Then Ego pops up and thinks AHhhhhh i don't ***really*** want to go forward to Realization as things are Wonderful Now...  So then comes the bright idea of leaving the path and taking the practices and doing it all on your own (under the guise of well i have my own guru within) ....

WRONG ANSWER

Why ?

Because what has come, has come from Grace...  When you decide that well i'll just up and leave, what you now have that has come out of the Guru's Grace will dry up in time...  You can't disrespect the vows - leave -- and mock the Guru with well i have a guru within so this path isn't needed any longer...  As the Holy Spirit that is imparted By the Guru within Diksha and through the Practices isn't going to allow ego to disrespect what has come out of Grace...

Don't confuse going half way into oneness as being a High Point as while **ego** is feeling on top of the world it is a Danger Point and another TEST along the way ---- Do you REALLY want Truth and God or more ego delusion and the continuing wheel of Karma... ????  Are you looking for the momentary candies or Do you Really want to KNOW God and are willing to sacrifice the ego me to do so....  Sacrifice is such a Scary Word..... Ego seeks Joy and Pleasure but that type of Joy and Pleasure is faulty as it Still has the seeds of Karma in place...  There is STILL Suffering on the other side and that pendulum will still swing back and forth with the mind... Liberation and True Freedom isn't known until one has walked through the illusion of ego....

So be CLEAR BEFORE TAKING DIKSHA --- that you are here for the Duration...

THIS being said

For those who are going to Leave there is a way to do it and way NOT To do it...

You don't come and go thanks and by the way i'm leaving.. When you do this you are taking back all the Karma mitigated by Guru --  you are disrespecting the vows --- disrespecting the Grace that has been given..

So ---   How to seek dispensation to leave the Dharma Center

whenleaving1bCome to Sat Guru and we can discuss what is going on....  If you can't come then Call...

One leaves by :

1.  Giving the intention that one wants to leave and asking for a months hiatus

At the end of that month

2.   One comes back and either affirms they wish to still leave or asks to remain at the Ashram..   If one still chooses to go you are released on your way with Guru's Full Blessings... When one abruptly leaves there are NO Guru's Blessings afforded for your journey and there are Karmic Consequences to the action..

One doesn't come into the Ashram saying I'm joining the path until I see fit to leave....   One joins this path with the Full Intention and commitment to walk the Whole of the Way to Realization...   When this is thrown away then one has Broken their Word to Truth and have chosen Ego over the path....   This is why there are karmic consequences to this type of action...

whenleaving1a1You can ask for a 1-3 month Hiatus. During that time you are not Authorized to do anything other than the Starting Practices...

IF at the end of your hiatus you decide to leave then you ASK for the Guru's Blessings --- You are then stripped of your spiritual name ... The Diksha Practices are never uttered again..

And you are free to go your way with Guru's Blessings... IF you find out that things are not as rosy on your own as you thought then you ASK SINCERELY to be allowed to continue on with the Path....  When you come onto a path you aren't purchasing practices for ego to use as it sees fit...   You are walking into a Path where there is dedication on Both Sides Guru & Sadhaka.. There is a Bond formed and the Guru takes you under their care in order to move you forward to Realization...

This Path needs to be walked in a Sacred - Honest - Truthful and Transparent manner...  From Start to finish...
