In taking Diksha one receives a direct inner opening and link to the Guru ..... the Guru helps to mitigate your karma.
Diksha: (Sanskrit) "Initiation." Solemn induction by which one is entered into a new realm of awareness and practice by a teacher or preceptor through the bestowing of blessings and the transmission of pranas. Denotes initial or deepened connection with the teacher and his lineage and is usually accompanied by ceremony. Initiation, revered as a moment of awakening, may be conferred by a touch, a word, a look or a thought.
Most Hindu schools, and especially Saivism, teach that only with initiation from a satguru is enlightenment attainable. Sought after by all Hindus is the diksha called shaktipata, "descent of grace," which, often coming unbidden, stirs and arouses the mystic kundalini force.
Shakti-pat Diksha, Guru Diksha, Name Diksha, and Mantra Diksha are given .......
When seekers come and want Diksha then it is looked at whether or not they are going to be a good Sadhaka.... What does this mean?
When one comes for Diksha one comes with nothing --- It has to be recoginsed first that you Don't know and then accepted that the Guru's have the key.... Potential Sadhakas come seeking the Guidance - Blessings -- and good Graces of the Guru.... They are seeking to become a Student to be taken under the wing and be willing to follow through on what is given, as it is there only to be beneficial to your journey....
In order to receive Diksha one MUST be committed to the spiritual path .....
NOTICE - IF ONE COMES WITH THE INTENTION OF TAKING DIKSHA TO SECURE MANTRAS AND THEN TO BE ON THEIR WAY ON THEIR OWN - YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME AS ONCE YOU WALK AWAY FROM THE GURU CONNECTION THE MANTRAS INFUSED POWER WILL BE AT AN END. TO KEEP MANTRAS EMPOWERED ONE HAS TO KEEP ALL COMMITMENTS MADE AT THE TIME OF DIKSHA.
Requirements Are
There is no *Charge* for receiving Diksha but it is customary to bring a gift - also flowers - fruit the giving of Dakshina which is a heartfelt monetary gift given to the Guru as a token of appreciation for their spiritual blessings ........this is based upon your ability to give but should be generous in nature as the Guru is generous in your behalf ...
After receiving Diksha one may wear white clothing if desired.....This shows that you are committed to a spiritual path but have not as yet taken full Sannyas...... it means you are a committed sadhaka or devotee ... the wearing of such outer color simply reminds you of your commitment... it sets the tone of your mindset ...
i urge those ready to take Diksha as it helps clear the way of obstacles and gives a direct connection to Guru - God - Cosmic Consciousness ...
Diksha comes in two parts. PART ONE of DIKSHA is called the COS: Contemplation of Self.
One must meet the above requirements, have done the Practices with regular reports for at least three months, and submitted both the Diksha Informed Consent Form and the Vows of Diksha Form to Gurus and Sages. If approved, you will recieve the COS: Contemplation of Self that consists of mantras for This Path.
Once one has Practiced the COS well for a while, one may request the SECOND PART of DIKSHA which is an in-person event accompanied by a second series called the Morning Mantras. During the second Diksha event, one will receive their new spiritual name for This Path.
BEFORE REQUESTING DIKSHA REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET...
GO DOWN THE CHECK LIST AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN FOLLOW THROUGH ON THESE THINGS BEFORE REQUESTING DIKSHA... AND DON'T JUMP INTO THIS PATH BEFORE YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT YOU ARE READY TO WALK THE PATH ALL THE WAY TO REALIZATION... AFTER REALIZATION THEN THERE IS THE SEVA TO HUMANITY IN ORDER TO AIDE THE JOURNEY OF THOSE RADY TO MOVE FORWARD OUT OF EGO'S SUFFERING.... .
Please read the Informed Consent and Vows of Diksha pages. Each must be read fully and signed before Diksha is entered into.
CAUTION AND WARNING AHEAD:
Taking Diksha ---
Diksha is a commitment to This Path for Life...
This isn't a well let me try it and see...
This isn't a stay until things seem to be in the moment
get the practices and then i can do it all on my own...
There is a point in the path when things go into the Moment and into Flow... in other words Grace is in full swing... The seeker is getting into Bliss states and All seems right with the world... Then Ego pops up and thinks AHhhhhh i don't ***really*** want to go forward to Realization as things are Wonderful Now... So then comes the bright idea of leaving the path and taking the practices and doing it all on your own (under the guise of well i have my own guru within) ....
WRONG ANSWER
Why ?
Because what has come, has come from Grace... When you decide that well i'll just up and leave, what you now have that has come out of the Guru's Grace will dry up in time... You can't disrespect the vows - leave -- and mock the Guru with well i have a guru within so this path isn't needed any longer... As the Holy Spirit that is imparted By the Guru within Diksha and through the Practices isn't going to allow ego to disrespect what has come out of Grace...
Don't confuse going half way into oneness as being a High Point as while **ego** is feeling on top of the world it is a Danger Point and another TEST along the way ---- Do you REALLY want Truth and God or more ego delusion and the continuing wheel of Karma... ???? Are you looking for the momentary candies or Do you Really want to KNOW God and are willing to sacrifice the ego me to do so.... Sacrifice is such a Scary Word..... Ego seeks Joy and Pleasure but that type of Joy and Pleasure is faulty as it Still has the seeds of Karma in place... There is STILL Suffering on the other side and that pendulum will still swing back and forth with the mind... Liberation and True Freedom isn't known until one has walked through the illusion of ego....
So be CLEAR BEFORE TAKING DIKSHA --- that you are here for the Duration...
THIS being said
For those who are going to Leave there is a way to do it and way NOT To do it...
You don't come and go thanks and by the way I'm leaving.. When you do this you are taking back all the Karma mitigated by Guru -- you are disrespecting the vows --- disrespecting the Grace that has been given..
Come to Sat Guru and we can discuss what is going on.... If you can't come then Call...
One leaves by : 1. Giving the intention that one wants to leave and asking for a months hiatus At the end of that month 2. One comes back and either affirms they wish to still leave or asks to remain at the Ashram.. If one still chooses to go you are released on your way with Guru's Full Blessings... When one abruptly leaves there are NO Guru's Blessings afforded for your journey and there are Karmic Consequences to the action..
One doesn't come into the Ashram saying I'm joining the path until I see fit to leave.... One joins this path with the Full Intention and commitment to walk the Whole of the Way to Realization... When this is thrown away then one has Broken their Word to Truth and have chosen Ego over the path.... This is why there are karmic consequences to this type of action...
whenleaving1a1You can ask for a 1-3 month Hiatus. During that time you are not Authorized to do anything other than the Starting Practices...
IF at the end of your hiatus you decide to leave then you ASK for the Guru's Blessings --- You are then stripped of your spiritual name ... The Diksha Practices are never uttered again..
And you are free to go your way with Guru's Blessings... IF you find out that things are not as rosy on your own as you thought then you ASK SINCERELY to be allowed to continue on with the Path.... When you come onto a path you aren't purchasing practices for ego to use as it sees fit... You are walking into a Path where there is dedication on Both Sides Guru & Sadhaka.. There is a Bond formed and the Guru takes you under their care in order to move you forward to Realization...
This Path needs to be walked in a Sacred - Honest - Truthful and Transparent manner... From Start to finish..
